Key Responsibilities:

• Design and prepare weekly menus tailored to the principals’ tastes and performance needs
• Cook meals in-home and prepare labeled to-go meals for drop-off as needed
• Use rooftop grill for preparing grilled favorites
• Accommodate special occasions and holidays with appropriate menus
• Ensure all meals are clearly labeled; minimize need for clarification or questions
• Collaborate on menu approval with Principals
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen environment

Candidate Requirements:

• Experienced Private Chef with high emotional intelligence (EQ) and discretion
• Proven experience in private households or high-end restaurant settings
• Ability to work independently with minimal interaction
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Trustworthy, reliable, and respectful of home boundaries
• Must sign NDA

We are helping the nicest family find a summer chef for them in Sag Harbor. This position will begin mid-June and end after Labor Day. The Mrs loves to collaborate and help in the kitchen with the chef. They are in the food business, so she is able to supply a lot of the ingredients herself! She would like a weekly menu, and will give feedback once received. They have 4 grown children that all have children – so please be kid friendly! You will have mini chefs all around you, so please enjoy this type of environment!! This family loves to eat healthy and clean food. They eat minimal meat, some chicken and a lot of fish and veggies. This job will be Thursday – Sunday, but flexibility is required as she might ask you to chef on M,T,W if she is hosting a dinner. This job requires light breakfast (muffins, waffles, smoothies), lunch and dinner. She is able to source a lot of ingredients herself, but you will need to know the farms and Citarella just in case she does not have an ingredient. We are helping a Soho based family of 5 find their dream chef. There are Michelin rated chefs in their family, so they are looking for the best of the best! You will be responsible for family dinners M-F and sometimes lunches for the Mr. The kitchen will be your domain – you are solely in charge of restocking the kitchen, checking expiration dates, minimizing waste, prepping food on Friday so they have food on the weekends, cleaning the kitchen (the housekeeper leaves early, so you have full responsibility to keep the kitchen clean), shopping at Union Square, knowing all the farmers markets and best places for the freshest food…etc! You should love kids and be very kind and warm, as they have 3 kids and a small dog. There is a lot of time off in the summer, in exchange you might be asked to accompany them to Aspen for 2 weeks or work a weekend in Upstate, NY.
