This amazing family is looking for someone who can help manage a range of household projects big and small. Examples include finding contractors and helping oversee completion of a garage remodel, getting a range of electrical repair projects completed, and overseeing routine service such as monthly pest control. Some work such as planning and coordination can be remote, but onsite in SF and occasionally our vacation home in the Sierra Foothills is critical to help supervise work. Ideally your schedule will be Monday-Friday, hours 9:00am-1:00 or 2:00pm, about 20 hours a week. This job will start part time and can absolutely grow into a full time job. We are helping the coolest family in Atherton find a second nanny to support their lead nanny. The family has 4 children, although your primary responsibility will be with the 1 year old and 7 year old. They have a lead nanny that will travel with them and do all overnights. The lead nanny will make your schedule, so you will receive it one month in advance. You are primarily there as support to her and helping out at the home – bath time, making dinner, overseeing homework and putting the littles to bed. You will be guaranteed 40 hours per week, but you might work less! The hours will be either in the morning as extra support or in the afternoon to early evenings. There needs to be flexibility for weekends, in case the family is traveling and the nanny needs some back up help. They are in residence from 1-2 weeks a month on average. This is a long-term position ideal for someone who enjoys a quiet, country lifestyle with responsibility, autonomy, and a deep love for animals. There is minimal day-to-day activity aside from the dogs. You will oversee and manage property and vendors (landscapers, cleaners, repairs) most of whom have been at the property for 5plus years. Manage deliveries and errands (dry cleaning, groceries, basic shopping). Airport pickups drop-offs (Sonoma County airport). Light home prep before and after their stays. The two dogs are very affectionate. They’re about 20-lbs each (feeding twice a day, daily walks, vet appointments, companionship). The couple prefers that the dogs are not left alone for more than 4-6 hours at a time. There is a $50,000 salary plus annual bonus.
