We are trying to help the coolest entrepreneurs in the city with their kids! The 4 kids range from 5 to 12 and are obviously going in so many different directions (3 schools!) Mom is very proactive so you and she would be working together to take the kids wherever they need to be. The hours are mainly 1:30 -7 but flexibility is everything, as one of the kids could be either sick or have a day off of school. The team is small, so they want a good team player – ie, someone that might help the housekeeper organize the toys, the books, the kids rooms, or walk the dogs (two cuties) . About the Role:
We are looking for an exceptional private chef to join dynamic households, providing bespoke culinary services for two managing partners and their families. You will be entrusted with crafting delicious and nutritious meals, creating personalized dining experiences. You’ll be working in a shared capacity, preparing lunch at the office (West LA) 3-4 days per week and preparing dinner 4 nights a week for each managing partner’s family at their homes, which are located on the same street in Brentwood. (Two nights for one partner, and two nights for the other partner.)

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Meal Preparation:
• Lunch for the managing partners at their office 3-4 days per week, ensuring balanced, healthy meals that are flavorful and aligned with dietary needs.
• Dinner for each family (2 nights at one partner’s and 2 nights at the others), including both nutritious and indulgent options, focusing on Mediterranean, Persian, and Asian cuisines.
• Prepare healthy, high-protein snacks, crudités, and grab-and-go options for both families. The partners are both married with three children.
• Adapt meals to specific preferences such as Persian and Mediterranean flavors, health-conscious options
• Plan meals ahead of time, considering dietary restrictions (no particular allergies but an emphasis on healthy eating).
• Prepare meals for family flights (jet meals) with an eye for both taste and convenience.

Additional Duties:
• Maintain a proactive relationship with the families, anticipating needs and ensuring that every meal aligns with their tastes and preferences.
• Occasionally work with other household staff (housekeepers, assistants) to ensure the kitchen is organized, clean, and stocked with top-quality ingredients.

Personal Qualities:

Responsibilities:
Personal Support:

Coordinate with vendors, such as the in-house florist, for house beautification, including plants to orchids.

Travel:

Ensure all travel-related documents and necessities, including passports and currency, are in order. Coordinate with hotels for all guest folios upon departure.

Hosting, Entertaining, and Party Planning:
Provide floor service, including table service.
Plan, coordinate, and execute events, gatherings, and dinners within the household.

Collaborate with external service providers, such as caterers, vendors, and contractors, to ensure smooth operations before, during, and after an event.

Hosting Guests in Residence:
Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests visiting the residence.
Manage guest room preparation, arrange personalized amenities, and anticipate any special requirements or preferences.

Security and Confidentiality:
Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion at all times to protect the privacy and security of the principals and their guests.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in a similar position within a high-end, private household or luxury hospitality environment. Flexibility and willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the
principals’ schedule. Typical work schedule will be Sunday – Thursday unless you are traveling with the principals.
Excellent knowledge of etiquette, table service, and household practices.
Strong organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and effective time management.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and respectfully. Discretion, professionalism, and respect for privacy.
Ability to anticipate needs, proactively solve problems, and provide discreet and personalized service. Capability to work collaboratively as part of an established team.
